Tax, registration & B-BBEE
Is HelpLift itself a PBO? Where does it fit into all this?
HelpLift is a conduit for what moves through the platform: a contribution goes from giver to organisation, HelpLift never touches or holds it, and it is that organisation's own PBO and 18A status — not HelpLift's — behind any certificate it issues. HelpLift's own registration governs a separate thing entirely: money raised directly for HelpLift itself (grants, sponsorships), which HelpLift then decides how to allocate. Those are two different flows of money, on purpose, and neither one substitutes for the other.
