Tax, registration & B-BBEE
What does the B-BBEE line on a need mean?
It says an organisation has a verified Black-beneficiary percentage on record, which is what B-BBEE Socio-Economic Development credit is actually based on — not a flat yes or no. Under the Amended Codes, a contribution counts in full toward a business's scorecard only where at least 75% of beneficiaries are Black; below that, the claim is pro-rated, not disqualified (60% Black beneficiaries claims 60% of the donation, not zero). If your business is not measured on a scorecard, none of this affects you.
