The story
Hunger remains a daily challenge for many vulnerable families in our communities. Children, unemployed young people and struggling households often face difficulties accessing adequate and nutritious meals. God's Call Ministries is a registered nonprofit organisation (308-508 NPO) committed to restoring dignity, reducing poverty and creating opportunities for vulnerable individuals. Through our Phephisa Sinawe Community Feeding Programme, we prepare and distribute meals to people experiencing food insecurity. With the limited resources currently available, we have been able to provide approximately 200 meals during a weekly feeding session. However, the growing demand for assistance exceeds our available resources. Our vision is to expand the programme to three feeding days per week, ensuring that more vulnerable individuals and families receive consistent nutritional support. We are seeking financial contributions, food donations, grocery vouchers, cooking equipment, volunteers and long-term corporate partnerships. Every contribution, whether big or small, helps us move closer to a community where no one is forgotten or left hungry. Together, we can fight hunger, restore dignity and bring hope to vulnerable communities.
Who it helps
Approximately 200 community members per feeding session when resources permit, including vulnerable children, unemployed youth, low-income households, former offenders and struggling families in Alexandra and surrounding communities in Gauteng.

Volunteer
We welcome committed volunteers to assist with meal preparation, food packaging, serving meals, cleaning and distributing food to vulnerable community members. Volunteers with cooking, food safety, logistics and fundraising experience are particularly encouraged to participate. Feeding schedules will be communicated in advance.

God's Call Ministries welcomes corporate sponsorships and partnerships to support our Phephisa Sinawe Community Feeding Programme. Businesses can support the programme through financial sponsorship, food donations, grocery vouchers, cooking equipment, logistics, volunteer participation or regular monthly contributions. Suggested sponsorship opportunities, based on our provisional meal-cost estimate: R2,500 – Help provide approximately 100 meals. R5,000 – Help provide approximately 200 meals. R10,000 – Help provide approximately 400 meals. R20,000 – Help provide approximately 800 meals. Corporate partners can receive acknowledgement, activity reports and appropriate recognition in project communications, subject to agreement. God's Call Ministries is a registered NPO and SARS-approved PBO. Eligible donations may qualify for Section 18A tax-deductible receipts in accordance with SARS requirements and the organisation's approval. We welcome both once-off contributions and sustainable long-term partnerships to fight hunger and strengthen vulnerable communities.
