The well-being concept enables a locally trained Hub Manager, with a support team, to implement and grow a Helplift Hub and/or elements thereof.  The service that the Hub provides to the needy in the community is the only reason for its existence.  The aim, therefore, is sustainability and growing community impact that makes the Hub worth the stewardship of Impact Social Investments. (SED Funds)

Who can apply?

Anybody and/or organisation with experience and influence in community work who wants to:

  1. Improve the lives of disadvantaged individuals, families and groups by facilitating resources and providing the means for self-help within community settings. 

  2. Reach those who are marginalised and excluded from society to change their situation and tackle the problems that face their quality of life. 

  3. Develop the community as a whole to become a caring and sharing society.

Responsibilities:

Typical responsibilities include:

  • working with community organisations in providing a network of cooperation, coordination and synchronisation of resources within and amongst community members

  • identifying and building on communities’ assets and capacities

  • helping communities to share knowledge and resources effectively

  • setting up initiatives by liaison with interested groups

  • recruiting and training of voluntary staff

  • management, administration and facilitation of the Hub Network

  • encouraging financial investments in the local hub
